The Historic Preservation Alliance and the Colorado Native Plant
Society co-sponsored a Cog Railway trip on Sunday, September 10,
2006.
Our approximately 4-1/2 hour round trip included a one-hour stop
in the vicinity of Windy Point to view the ruins of the Pikes
Peak Alpine Botanic Laboratory, then on to the top of Pikes Peak
for our very own celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the sighting
of our favorite mountain, complete with storytellers and music!
