On Tuesday Feb 12, please come to the El Paso County Parks Board meeting at 1:30 pm at Board of County Commissioners meeting room on 3rd floor of 27 E. Vermijo (between Cascade and Tejon) for citizen comment since we were not allowed on the agenda. Free on-street parking is available around Wahsatch and Vermijo just a few blocks away. If you work downtown, just walk on over!

TOSC (Trails and Open Space Coalition) is opposing the County's proposed motorcycle park at Corral Bluffs which TOSC hopes will become a 3,000 acre regional park along with Jimmy Camp Creek Park for the eastside of town. Someone has said this is the "Red Rock Canyon of the eastside".

We will know on Monday whether the state will recommend funding for this ill advised motorcycle area. There are alternatives that the County must explore!

Please tell County Parks to put no more money into this project. In fact at least three of the County Park Board members feel they haven't even voted for the concept of a motorcycle "park" or voted for spending $275,000 of Conservation Trust Fund money and $275,000 of Developer Park Fee money. Please help stop this misguided proposal!

Please go to www.SaveCoralBluffs.com for much more information.

Please let me know if you plan on attending. You don't need to speak, but your presence will be appreciated.
